What is a mobile rental service? We bring the kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards to your designated paddling site in southern Maine, such as a lake, river, camp or vacation rental. Find more information through paddling locations page, Blog, or on facebook. Should I make a reservation? Yes!! All rentals require reservations and a credit card number to hold it. Credit cards will be charged the day of delivery unless you specify you want to pay cash! If you are picking your boat up from us you can pay when the boat is picked up. We appreciate 24 hours or more notice for reserving boats. Same day requests by chance. Call us at 207-415-9469, use our Contact page, or email us!
What is your cancellation policy? We require 24 hoursnotice for all cancellations. Any cancellations done under 24 hours will be charged a $25 fee.
Do I need experience to rent? For calm water conditions on lakes and rivers, no experience is needed. Our boats are designed to be very stable on the water. For ocean boating or very windy conditions we recommend that you have been paddling before. If you haven't, we are happy to give you some tips to make you feel more comfortable on the water!
What should I wear and bring? We recommend you wear synthetic quick drying clothing, this material will still keep you warm if you get wet! Cotton is not recommended since it has no insulating value when wet, you will actually get colder! It is also good to have water worthy footwear such as water shoes, sandals with straps, or old sneakers to protect your feet from rocks while you are getting in and out of the boats. Flip flops fall off easily! On hot days shorts and t-shirts are great. For cooler days long synthetic pants and shirt, a fleece jacket , wool sweater or windbreaker will do the trick! You should also bring sunscreen, hat to protect you from the sun, sunglasses, a full water bottle, and a snack to keep you comfortable on the beautiful waterways of Maine.
Do you accept credit cards? Yes we do!! Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept cash payments.
Do I have to wear a PFD (Life Jacket)? Absolutely! It is Maine law, our policy, and just a good idea. If by chance you do end up in the water, PFD's are very difficult to put on when you are already in the water. We want you to be safe and have a great time!!
